OUR WINES:
2006 Viognier “The Goat” A dry white wine. Barrel fermented and aged. Crisp and balanced with citrus and pear aromas. $23.00 / bottle
2006 Vidal Blanc “The Cow” A crisp. Light bodied white wine. Semi-dry to lightly sweet with 3% residual sugar. Stainless steel tank fermented cold (about 55 degrees) and co-fermented with about 5% Viognier. Citrus fruity finish. $18.00 bottle
2006 Rose’ Wine “The Donkey” A blend of multiple red varieties (a mélange) which include Tannat, Tinta Cao, Nebbiolo, and Viognier co-fermented. Norton was blended later to achieve its striking Garnet color. This is a fuller bodied, off-dry Rose’ with ½ percent residual sugar. Hints of berry, melon, and cherry. $13.00 / bottle
Norton “The Pig” Norton is the oldest native American varietal in cultivation today. It is a fantastic grape to grow in Virginia as is does well in humid climates. The Norton also has good aging potential. “The Pig” is a blend of 2005 and 2006 vintage. Tank fermented and barrel aged in French and American oak. The ruby red color speaks volumes before you even lift the glass. This is a full bodied dry red wine. A fruity bouquet, light tannins, and spicy finish.
