What to Expect at The 2026 Lighting of the Vines: Launch Party
Be the first to experience the magic of the 2026 Lighting of the Vines as we kick off the holiday season at Bluemont Vineyard. Join us with your family as we illuminate our vineyard with over 10,000 twinkling lights, creating a breathtaking view that will leave you in awe and filled with the holiday spirit.
Special Guest: Santa Claus
This year, the magic gets even brighter—Santa Claus will be visiting Bluemont Vineyard! Families are invited to capture a festive holiday photo with Santa, making this an unforgettable night for children and kids-at-heart alike.
Event Schedule
The vineyard illumination will take place at 5:30 p.m., offering the best views from our outdoor patio spaces. Cozy up and enjoy the glowing lights as you welcome the holiday season in Virginia’s beautiful Wine Country.

3:00 PM - The 951 Tasting Room re-opens for Lighting of the Vines: Launch Party Guests
4:30 PM - Santa Arrives
5:00 PM - First Performance
5:30 PM - Lighting of the Vines
6:00 PM - Second Performance
6:30 PM - Santa Send-Off
6:30 PM - Last call for food and beverages
7:00 PM - Property closes.
Admission Info
Adults 21+: $30 per guest | includes one welcome beverage of white, red or winterberry sangria.
Guests under 21: $21.60 per guest | includes a welcome beverage, children's holiday cookie crafting station and santa meet photo opportunity.
Wine Club Members: Enjoy exclusive access to the club deck and veranda seating for prime views of the illuminated vines

Seating & Amenities: Patio seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

What time are the vines lit?
The vines will illuminate at 5:30 PM, marking the start of the holiday season at Bluemont Vineyard!
What if I’m running late?
No need to worry or notify our office if you’re running late. We have plenty of seating, and guests will be seated upon arrival, front to back. Simply make your way in when you arrive, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Why do I need a parking pass?
Bluemont Vineyard has limited on-site parking, and Lighting of the Vines is one of our most popular events. Parking passes help us manage the number of vehicles on the property, make the most of our available parking, and keep the event accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Carpooling is strongly encouraged!
How many parking passes are included with my ticket?
Each guest receives one complimentary parking pass.
Where do I get my parking pass?
Your complimentary parking pass will be provided when you check in at the bottom of the driveway upon arrival.
What if I need more than one parking pass?
Additional parking passes are available for $5 each. If you’re arriving in more than one vehicle, please purchase an additional pass for each vehicle.
Is public transportation available after the event?
Unfortunately, public transportation and rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are not readily available in our area.
