Bluemont in Bloom: Your Guide to Vineyard Views, Orchard Blossoms, and Spring in the Blue Ridge
Bluemont in Bloom
Spring has arrived in Bluemont, bringing one of the most beautiful times of the year to our mountain and farm. From delicate peach blossoms to vibrant redbuds and budding apple trees, the landscape is coming alive in soft color and fresh energy.
And this year, there’s even more to explore.
For the first time ever, over 100,000 tulips are in bloom during Tulip Days at our sister property, Great Country Farms from April 7th–17th—creating a vibrant, immersive experience just down the mountain.

How to Enjoy the Blossoms
Peach blossoms are in full bloom on the farm, cherry blossoms line the drive up to the tasting room, and apple blossoms are close behind in the coming weeks. As the season unfolds, these blooms will line the drive up to the 951 Tasting Room, creating one of the most scenic times to visit.
At Bluemont Vineyard, guests can take in sweeping views of the valley while surrounded by spring’s first colors—making it the perfect place to slow down, sip, and soak in the season.
The Vision Behind the Tulips
Bringing the tulip field to life was no small task, and much of the vision belongs to Farmer Steph—the creative force behind many of the beautiful spaces across our properties.
With a background in construction and grounds work, Steph brings both artistry and practicality to every project. From landscaping to large-scale installs and photo-worthy moments, she plays a key role in shaping the experience guests know and love.
For the tulip field, it all started with color.
Inspired by the natural hues of sunrise and sunset, Steph designed the layout to transition from warm tones into cool. Rows of red, orange, and yellow gradually blend into whites, creams, and blues—creating a visual journey across the field.
The curved rows were intentionally designed to offer stunning views from every angle, especially along the edges. Throughout the space, you’ll also find thoughtful details like the giant “BLOOM” letters, wooden tulip cutouts, and a swing—perfect for capturing springtime moments.
Make a Day (or Evening) of It
A visit to Bluemont in Bloom is a chance to fully experience the season.
Start your day at the vineyard with blossoms and mountain views, then head to the farm to explore the tulip fields. For an evening experience, Henway Hard Cider is hosting a Spring Cider Dinner on April 11th set among the blooms (weather permitting), complete with a wagon ride to the field and a thoughtfully paired, multi-course meal.
It’s one of our favorite traditions—unhurried, intimate, and designed to feel like gathering around the table with friends.
